Deepest Beliefs Lab Values

In our lab, we study the psychology underlying people’s deepest held beliefs, including those about morality, politics, and religion. Studying these issues requires diversity. We strive to create a welcoming environment where scientists and trainees from diverse backgrounds all feel valued and can share their unique perspectives on society’s most challenging issues. To create openness and mutual respect outside the lab, we embrace these values within the lab. We strive to support students and scholars of all backgrounds—including people of all races, genders, and beliefs—as they work and learn. We are here to listen to our students and tailor our mentorship to their unique interests, needs, and aspirations.
